Royal Decree 255\/2025 (BOE-A-2025-6601) implements a long-anticipated provision: Spanish citizens living abroad will have the opportunity to apply for their national identity card at embassies and consulates, contingent upon the availability of requisite technical and human resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
