1. Valid Passport

- The company must have at least 1 year of proven activity.
- The contract must be indefinite or at least 12 months in duration.

- Monthly income equal to 200% of the Spanish minimum wage (SMI) (~€2,520/month in 2025).
- Recent bank statements showing stable income.
4. Proof of Real and Ongoing Business Activity
- Certificate of legal existence issued by the competent authority.
- Apostilled and officially translated into Spanish.
5. For Freelancers or Self-Employed Workers
- Active contracts with international clients (minimum 1 year).
- Proof of tax payment or official registration as a self-employed professional in your country.
6. Professional Qualifications
- University degree, vocational training, or at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Updated curriculum vitae.
7. Criminal Background Check
- Issued by all countries where you’ve resided in the past 5 years.
- Apostilled, officially translated, and valid for no more than 90 days.
8. Private Health Insurance
- Full coverage in Spain (no copays or waiting periods).
- Must include medical repatriation and services equivalent to Spain’s public healthcare.
9. Family Documentation (if applicable)
- Marriage or birth certificates.
- Apostilled and officially translated into Spanish.
Application Process for the Digital Nomad Visa
- Submit your application online through the Large Companies and Strategic Groups Unit (UGE-CE).
- Decision within 20 working days. If no response, the application is considered approved by positive administrative silence.
- Schedule an appointment for fingerprinting and obtain the Foreigner Identity Card (TIE) within 4 to 6 weeks after approval.
